Microblading before + after

Microblading before + after

If you know me IRL - you know how much I love brows, and my post chemo brows were anything but glamorous. I spent tons of time shading, plucking, and tinting to give them a more dramatic look.

First of all...what is microblading? Its a semi permanent cosmetic procedure that fills in missing eyebrow hair, making them appear more full, or dramatic. Your artist will create a customized shape, and use a scalpel like tool to create feathery strokes and deposit pigment directly into the skin.

When I first heard of microblading I knew it was something I wanted to have done, but hadn't found MY PERSON yet. Since microblading is a semi permanent procedure you have to be super careful about who you go to. I had done tons of research before finding the fabulous Meg Greene.

She is the sweetest, most down to earth person, and she specializes in BROWS. She spends extra time consulting with you to figure out what you like/don't like about your current brows, and what your desired look is for the final look. She maps them out, and then numbs the area before and during to make you as comfortable as possible.

Here are my answers to your FAQ:

Q: Does it hurt?
A: everyone has a different pain tolerance. mine is super high. Meg keeps you super comfortable, and numbs you twice during the procedure. it honestly just felt like a tiny scrape, and a little bit of pressure. nothing unbearable.

Q: What is the down time?
A: My skin heals super quickly (with tattoos). I only experienced a few days of peeling. if you follow the after care instructions there shouldn't be an awkward healing time.

Q: Do you still have to fill in your brows?
A: you don't HAVE too. Most days I don't do anything. I only powder them when I want them slightly more dramatic.

Q: How much does It cost?
A: it depends on your area, and the current market. in Nashville It starts around $500, and includes your initial session, and your 6 week touch up.

Q: How long does it last?
A:Your color-retention will vary greatly depending on a million different factors. The average is 1-3 years. Most people wait 1-2 years before a touch up. If you want your results to last longer, you should avoid sun exposure, refrain from using harsh exfoliants and peels, and follow the after-care instructions. People who have naturally oily skin and larger pores should consider adding ombre shading to their service because they are less likely to have clean, crisp results when healed.

I am completely obsessed with my brows, and definitely plan on getting them touched up in a few years. It takes me less time to get ready in the mornings, and I love the fullness that Meg created. Would definitely recommend to anyone who has brow issues, OR if you just want them to be more full and dramatic :)
