I'm not going to lie - today is a weird day for me, and this post was definitely the most challenging for me to write. It's a day of victories, endings, milestones, and new beginnings. It's a day that I looked forward to for 7 months. A day that I could not reached if it wasn't for my family, and friends. For those of you who don't know me, you can read the first part of my story here :)
Being able to communicate with other cancer patients, and survivors during treatment was the biggest encouragement for me. It's a very dark scary time, and having someone who understands exactly what you are going through was huge! Cancer is real, it's scary, and no type of cancer is the "easy" cancer. More and more people are being diagnosed with his terrible illness every day, and we need to be strong and encourage one another. That is why I have chose to openly discuss my journey. If it wasn't for these photos, I would not have been able to connect with so many amazing people around the world. The power of social media is incredible!!
Below are some photo's from each treatment, from day 1 to day 200+?
(The weird blue caps that I'm wearing in some of the photos are Penguin Cold Caps . They reduce the amount of hair loss during treatment. More on that later...)
If you, or anyone you know has recently been diagnosed, or is current going through treatment please don't hesitate to reach out to me. I'd love to connect!
