After over a decade in the beauty industry, Amanda was diagnosed with lymphoma. Organic color not only saved her life but also her career after her oncologist recommended she leave behind traditional toxic hair color. Inspired by her own healing journey, Amanda dreamed of creating a space where stylists and clients alike could fall in love with cleaner beauty while learning more about the ingredients found in everyday products. She opened Mae Organic Beauty in Nashville in 2018, followed by Mae NYC in the heart of Manhattan’s Flatiron District in 2019, which later closed during the pandemic.

Now with over 16 years in the beauty industry, Amanda has brought Mae Organic Beauty home to Clarksville, Tennessee to be closer to family and serve a growing community seeking healthier beauty options. Her experience spans Nashville, New York City, and notable clientele, but her passion remains the same—creating a welcoming space where clients can relax, feel cared for, and fall in love with their hair while making more informed beauty choices.

Mae is named after Amanda’s grandmother, Thelma Mae Morley, who passed away from lymphoma before Amanda was born.
