Cancer whaaaat?!

Upon moving to Nashville in November of 2015, all seemed well in our world. I had an amazing job, was reconnected with old friends, and my brother Christopher lived 2 seconds away from us. Life was great.

Three months later, in February 2015 I flew from Nashville to Tampa to become an educator for our color line, Organic Colour Systems. I was super excited about getting home and educating fellow hairdressers about safe color and products! A few days after returning home to Nashville I developed a terrible DRY cough, and nothing would make it go away. I tried all different crazy methods and EO's, and nothing helped. After a few days of dealing with this dreadful thing, I decided to go to an Urgent Care Clinic to get it checked out. They did a chest X-ray, and sent me home saying "your x-ray looks good, keep using your oils".   Not even an hour later they called me back and told me they found a mass in my chest and that I needed to get a CT-scan immediately.

         Excuse me? What? You just told me I was fine? Thankfully, my friend knew an amazing Nurse Practitioner who was able to see me first thing the next morning. Within an hour she had me in a scan! Everything seemed like a roller coaster from there on out....
